| VIEWS2001 was staged right in the heart of London at the Hotel InterContinental. The conference, by universal consensus, was extremely successful, although there are always things that can be improved in any such event. Learn more about what the delegates thought by looking at the evaluation forms they completed. Click here for the analysis of evaluation forms, in pdf format. | ||

Any conference committee will
strive to provide a balanced agenda, and, while VIEWS2001 featured many
purely technical presentations, there were also others that were more
focused on business issues. The VIEWS2001 delegates came clearly down on
the side of the technical presentations, as one might expect - VIEWS
after all was set up originally to fulfil a need for a technical forum
for SAS users that was not available otherwise. Nevertheless, business
needs always have to be taken into account as they ultimately will
decide whether or not SAS is there for the technical people to use. There are two awards from VIEWS2001 this year. The first is for the Best Paper at VIEWS2001. Click here to find out more details about that and who won the award - and prize. VIEWS has traditionally awarded the most popular paper prize - 'most popular' being decided from the scores awarded by the conference delegates. Presentation not on the VIEWS2001 CD When a presentation needed to be withdrawn at the last minute, Phil Mason gamesly leapt forward with a replacement. The change of presentation was too late for Phil's to be included on the VIEWS2001 Proceedings CD, so here it is for download: Powerpoint version PDF version Futures Forum At the Futures Form, the panel agreed to take some of the questions and provide replies after the Conference. Here are the Questions and Answers. The VIEWS Committee would like to thank everyone - Sponsors and Exhibitors, speakers, Delegates and EVERYONE involved in the organisation of VIEWS2001. Without everyone's involvement, VIEWS2001 would not have been the success it clearly was. |
